I'll explain what happened here now.

Anna posted an ad which broke duo advertising rule. Another escort complained. Westie deleted ad. Anna posted ad again. Westside deleted ad. Anna posted ad again. Westside deleted ad and this time put Anna on 1 week ban. I gather he felt she would keep putting it back up all night unless he banned her. Westside can correct me if any of this is wrong, but that is what happened I think.

I came along. I noticed a problem. Anna had put up thread in private forum asking why her ad had been deleted. From that you could say she may not have even realised her ad broke any rule. We have an infractions system (3 infractions in 30 days automatically equals a 1 week ban) and in my mind the best way of handling this would have been for Westie to give her an infraction explaining why it was given, then she'd have known what the problem was. If she had then posted the ad again, another infraction could have been given etc until automatic ban was applied.

I asked Westie about this and he thought he had given Anna an infraction, but he hadn't, so it seems he'd not clicked submit properly or there had been a tech glitch or similar because the infraction hadn't been issued.

In the circumstances I felt Anna should be unbanned as infractions system is best way to deal with these issues rather than issuing a manual ban. So she was unbanned. Westside was however not acting with any malice here. He was trying to do right thing I believe.

Tech glitches can't be totally prevented. The give infraction form works, the servers are up etc, but user internet connections break sometimes, there isn't anything we can do about that. And no, I would hardly be revoking West's mod status for this, given I think he acted in good faith and did his best to sort out the issue.

No they can't - that's a given. This is not a tech glitch though. It's a testable, repeatable and documented ongoing issue and that can be prevented. I know you are very proud of this site and rightly so, however you do realise that from a technology perspective it's not doing anything particularly clever or unique. Why do these "tech glitches" not plague other, larger and more complex sites.

I can have a 10,000 row spreadsheet open in google docs for a week and when I hit save, it's just saved.

Tech glitches can't be totally prevented. The give infraction form works, the servers are up etc, but user internet connections break sometimes, there isn't anything we can do about that. And no, I would hardly be revoking West's mod status for this, given I think he acted in good faith and did his best to sort out the issue.

It could have being a tech glitch on my end because i lost the internet connection a few times today already so it may have happened when i hit the submit button. I dont know what happened , i did issue the infraction but didnt see it getting sent properly so i assumed it was gone so a mistake their on my part maybe as i should have resent it. I aslo checked on annas prior record for infractions and warnings and its bad.

You've posted nothing but negative and accusatory posts at him for the last 3 hours and you started a thread against him which I deleted because its shit stirring. If you persist you will be issued warnings/infractions. I suggest you let this matter rest. You may apologize to each other via PM and leave it at that as nothing good will come of this. No they can't - that's a given. This is not a tech glitch though. It's a testable, repeatable and documented ongoing issue and that can be prevented.

There is no bug with the give infraction form and there have been no problems whatsoever with our servers that could have caused this (and they are monitered from around the world constantly). I have just checked this in order to reply to you. I can't however control user's connections to E-I. No site can.

I have massive respect for you, your Escort of the Month stuff is fantastic and contributes a huge amount to the board. And you one of the very few guys here who takes the time and effort to generate this sort of useful content.

But... right there.... that's the old-boy network popping up again. You go on the offensive against An Don and completely ignore Westie's inappropriate maverick behaviour which sparked all of this off. Not to mention his borderline psychotic behaviour since..

It's been demonstrated beyond reproach that West is the problem here and while I admire your loyalty toward your fellow mod but come on, enough's enough.
