I believed that also until I had two threads of mine asking pertinent questions which did not break any publicly documented rules deleted by a mod simply because he did not want to answer them. I also received an infraction via IM which I replied to but he still will not do me the courtesy of a response.

The infraction has since been reversed so he obviously realised he was completely out of order but still will not do me the courtesy of a response or an explanation.

I'm not going to name any names but let's just say he feels his posts are so much more important than everyone else's that they deserve a bigger font..

Well i think that is a big issue and like with a referee what people want is consistency, the interpretation of the rules
by different mods varies alarmingly, the way threads develop depends wholly on who is overseeing at a particular time

Indeed ber - but you try to discuss them in a reasonable and coherent manner and you have your threads locked and deleted and "no no slips" handed out to you.
I've been posting on message boards since the pre-www usenet days and have never had a post of mine deleted anywhere.

Likewise i have been on this site for 3 years and to my knowledge have not stepped outside the rules once, so like
u i feel when u behave u should be entitled to have issues u raise dealt with and debated properly and not dismissed
out of hand.

Where would you suggest that we debate the issues then jackie? Any thread where these were being discussed last night was either locked or deleted. Should I endure the ignominy of starting yet another thread only to see it deleted again?

Well then as it is not being used for that purpose anymore, as that is an issue for escorts,what does it matter whats discussed
here? Also what happened last night is only a small part of a much broader issue we are discussing.

Because as several of you , including yourselfs have posted, you are fed up of all the wasteful threads that are created, doing the same things. I am trying to take away some of this from the boards, so it can be cleared up. Wouldnt you agree that all this has been debated enough already?

No - not even nearly, there was no debate here. Lots was asked, nothing was answered and then a mod stepped in and locked or deleted everything despite no rules having been broken. How does that even approximate a debate?

Anyway, I'm not sending IMs to anyone. We either debate these things out in the open where everyone has a voice or E-I continues to be a closed up club where threads of absolute inane drivel are allowed to continue ad-nauseum but threads discussing real issues are not.
