Thumbs up Acoustic Guitar info !

Thinking of taking up the guitar as a hobby and interested to hear from other budding guitarists.
Now obviously i need a guitar but which would you recommend for a newbie?
Is the guitar easy to learn?
How long do you recon it would take before i'm tackling these little numbers below?

YouTube - Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis (cover)

YouTube - Use Somebody - Kings of Leon (cover)

Dont worry my singing is coming along nicely, just looking for info on the guitar and to hear from other community members who either play the guitar or have stories to share.

Guitar is easy to learn, once you have the chords down youll be flying it. For a newbie any guitar will do, I have a washburn semi acoustic myself byt if your just starting off any will do. Just make sure the strings arent plasticy. Oasis very easy to play Kings of leon handy as well enjoy

I play but life leaves the general vicinity.Even insects leave the area and head for the mountains. Im not good because i dont put in the time. Playing an intrument is all about putting in the time. My bro is a self thought bass player and plays pro. Everytime i see him he is playing on the bass, on his laptop the bass is next to him, watching tv ,he has a bass in his hands playing, i reckon he even took it into the jax with him. He doesnt do it as mucvh now because he is shit hot and doesnt need to but in the earlier days it was play ,play ,play.

What i am getting at is its impossible to say how good you would be or how quick you pick it up.You either want it or not and if you do you will put in the time.

This is why im not all that great at it,because i dont play ,play ,play but guitar isnt my no one priority.

you either want it or not,

I have to say I was the same whe I started out. I remember I joined a band before I could play and everyone else could So I got my Bass and it never left my side ever. I would spend hours learning everything myself, am self taught too and it all eventually paid off

I play guitar, but I'm no Eric Clapton!

Back in the day, I started off playing Oasis songs (from 'What's the Story Morning Glory' and 'Definately Maybe'). These songs are ideal for beginners as they follow very simply chord patterns.

As I've got older, I'm more of a Beatles man and prefer to listen to/play Rock, Rock n' Roll and Rhythm and Blues!

    Get rockin' you guys!!!
