Chat Room - thoughts?

I did in the past, Miss VJ, but unfortunately at the present not so much. I don't have any suggestions to improve as I can't see the Ladies commiting to it in the short term, unfortunately.....

I see on other forums they have a shoutbox, it's for chatting but it's allways open like a banner on top of the screen, you can close it but by default it's always open, you have to register to see it so I'm sure other restrictions could be put in place such as only established members can see it. I can send you a link to a forum I know uses it so you can see what i'm talking about

Would this mean u could see chat without logging in directly? If so i would be totally against that.
Ithink its only fair to the chatters that they can see the profile names of the people who can read the chat
as the present system allows. It would be like having someone peeping in the window. From my experience
whats discussed in chat can often depend on who is present.

Just visited the chat room for the first time. It was interesting but I found it hard to follow all the conversations and it wasn't that busy tonight. I saw a 'Private chat' section but when I clicked on I got an error message.
Can you log in to a separate 'private chat' area and have 'one to one' conversations or do I just stick to pm's.

If u click on the persons name u want to talk to a drop menu appears and u can click on private chat and then u can have private conversation

I used to be on E-I chat almost every night, as some of you probably remember. I almost never go there now. There are a lot of reasons, but the big one is that you never know who you are talking to. There are often people there under fake names, sometimes pretending to be escorts when they are not. After a while I became suspicious of any unfamiliar names, and at that point it stopped being fun.
