I think the login seems to be busted - keeps logging m out and the email contact request logins all the time too.

I haven't timed it but it feels that if you don't click on the remember me box the system times you out quicker than it used to, maybe someone needs to check the setting to see if the default time hasn't changed with the recent upgrade's

Well there are common 2 issues so please check them out.
1.) Delete any cookies saved by your browser in regards to escort-ireland.com website - this can be found usually in settings of your browser and they are a part of the offline kept files.
2.) Some versions of the explorer I think is acting funny and doesn't remember the cookies correctly but by clicking "remember me" besides the login usually helps.

Am I right in saying some developers are using Java and silverlight to log people in and keep their login details saved for the next visit, is this more stable than the old cookies way??

Also try to use different browser if one fails, if everything fails send me PM or email through a E-I contact form and I can try to help you to get it solved.

I don't know if it is more stable, but it it definitely more browser restricting, Silverlight escpecialy is installed on very small % of computers and both Java, Silverlight, Flash etc.. technologies are purely supported by mobile phones, i-phones .... and other devices. We would like to be accessible to as many people possible and should keep things simple.
Cookies usually work absolutely fine but after upgrade the software has slightly different setting and if the user has saved cookies from the old version it can cause trouble.
Clearing any cookies related to escort-ireland.com usually helps.

FYI in safari, when trying to email an escort it says

*** ERROR messages deleted for security reason *****
