    Default Gay student’s suicide

    Did anyone see on the news or read about the poor gay guy who killed himself in America after his class mates thought it would be “funny” to post a video of Tyler Clementi having sex with another man?

    His great buddies secretly filmed the guy then broadcast it online.

    The people responsible are being charged with it and if found guilty could face 5 years in jail, do you think these people deserve this or was it just a stupid, silly childish prank that went horribly wrong?

    Sad. Sad that they would do this, and sad that he would think it was worth killing himself over.

    I THINK GL invasion of privacy or something.

    The thing is I do think they need to be made an example of ie prison sentence would be right but 5 years really? A bit much perhaps? Although on the other hand if they did go out of their way knowing the poor guy was very venerable I’d give them life but would they have really thought the guy would have killed himself or just a stupid prank that went badly wrong?

    5 years for privacy invasion does seem harsh. But if it can be proven that they knew that guy was potentially suicidal, then the sentence would be just imo, (maybe even a tad lenient.)

    i remember reading somewhere when i first saw this story, that they are also being charged with making a porno without the consent of the people involved as it is against the law in which ever state it happened
