I'm just wondering if you could tell the world one thing about sex work, what would it be?

It could be anything.

Do people think you make much more money than you do in reality? Has it affected your perception of the opposite sex? If so, for better or worse? Even though you're with people, does it get lonely sometimes?

There's lots of examples but if the wider world could only know one thing about your life as a sex worker, what would you like it to be?

1. The one thing I'd say about the biz is that total legality would make all of our lives better. Nobody fancies living as a half-criminal. Sex is like the daily bread, one of the most elemental part of Maslow's pyramid of needs. Normalize it accordingly.

2. Doesn't matter what people think about my salary. Whatever we make is the foundation of our independency. Many of us had nothing before this job. If I can buy every single thing I want without having to rely on my parents ever again or being the bitch of anyone who forces me into monogamy in return for their financial support, I am in the right place.

3. My perception of men hasn't changed much, but I interact a lot more with them than ever before, and that teaches me a lot.

4. Being apart from our friends while touring can obviously be difficult sometimes, but we can cultivate more appreciation for our own company, and make new friends along the way.

5. One thing about my life as a sex worker is the opportunity for a huge amount of personal growth that no other job has ever inspired me to be invested in so much.

Freedom and a little extra money sometimes, but considering that there are also additional expenses compared to having a regular job. For example, you have to pay by yourself the rent , which can cost over 2,000 a month, while touring can be extremely expensive, reaching up to 950 a week(on top of paying and your own rent for your own place 2000+) or 250 per day for hotels, advert 500 a month ,income tax for those who pay tax (many of us do) and other expenses, you can't really say you are blessed with lots of money, contrary to what the general public might think about this job and the earnings

The downside includes being far from your parents, children, siblings, and family, as well as exposing yourself to potential dangers when meeting strangers who could harm you or worse. Like any job, there are pros and cons, but the freedom is the best part of this job, not the money. The earnings are not as high as people might assume, and after covering expenses, you might not have much left.

No, why would your perception of the opposite sex change? But what I learned about them, that I didn't know before taking this job, is that just like us, they are curious to experiment with their bodies and discover new pleasures. I think women should pay more attention to their partners and experiment more together.

Feeling lonely depends on the girl, really. You can still have friends and find things to do to occupy your time. You only get lonely if you stay isolated from the world, I think.

1) I'm built different. Sorry 🙈 I'm around too long to expand on this again. I don't bother talking to the world anymore, he has too much energy and is combative. Baby escorts and friends, yes, but not the world.

2) Some do, some don't. I rather people who overestimate me because people who underestimate me tend to drag me down a little by making me doubt myself. I have clients who've underestimated me in the past...they've shushed up now

I have clients who've overestimated me, and when they question me as to what I have, I'm like...

:-) no but it's helped that you thought I could have.

That doesn't just apply to the finances, it applies to what I was doing or should have been doing, how long I was going to stay in the industry or what I would put on my CV when I leave, and other such things that people could have opinions on.

Don't ever listen to friends or clients who are prone to underestimating you, only listen to the ones who think you can do anything.

3) Yes. I like them so much more now and fear them less. I vividly remember the feeling of realising that men want to be in my company for nothing else but my company.

I trusted one man before escorting, I trust at least 30 now. That's plenty enough for me to feel like the men I will meet will mostly be just like girls with girl needs.

Whether I know them or not, my outlook is that they're mostly just like women.

(Yes, plus some testosterone. Look, we can't castrate them. Personally, I don't want to. Even if the bottom wouldn't fall out of the industry, I like the Ying Yang...I've never had a girlfriend.)

4) Yes, lonely, and there are a host of other emotions that can need dealing with from time to time (for me). Isolation, shame, stigma.

I think it helps knowing and admiring other women in the business. Not for what they can achieve or any of that crap;

knowing them as really nice and good women worth knowing and worthy of everything good, and who I see as having a fundamental right to do with themselves whatever they like, and who also do some good work (though it's not a requirement for people to do "good work" as work).

Because on days I question myself and can't feel pride or deserving for me, I feel it for them.

Stigma is the worst thing for sex workers, not clients.
