Default Any painters in the house.

I've just a bastard of a day, went to so much trouble in preparing the walls, took me two days. Then today I take out my roller and the minute I start painting, the paint drys almost instantaneously and starts to rip off the wall and go back into the roller, leaving the walls like shite. I thought it just couldn't be a case of adding a little water to the paint, coudn't be that simple, just came to the conclusion that it's so warm today, it's just not a good day to paint, I added a drop of water and it seemed to help immensely. Any DIY experts out there that could give a few tips. You might say what the fuck has this got to do with escorting, well it is related, the money I save by doing it myself would give me two sessions of face sitting or rimming or something nice. I've just opened a litre bottle f whiskey and I'm going to chill out and be entertained by you lot. I have an emptyhouse for a week. (Free Gaff Two). So it's going to be a long night.

What kind of primer did you use; oil based or latex? what kind of paint did you use, oil based or water based?

When I read "Any painters in the house" I thought I was going to discover that we have some Van Goghs or Picassos amongst us

Sorry to disappoint you, I'm just a humble wall painter, although I am a bit of a Licasso. We could always go out and

Hi 69, I've just put the tin by my burnt pizza, it says Crown Trade Matt Vinyl Emulsion 10B15, Soft White. Collection BS4800. Pastel. At an uneducated guess, I'd say it's water based. I'll just leave that with you while I make up my mind whether to switch on the ellectric blanket or not.

You didn't disappoint me Rover, unfortunatelly I can't advice you on this matter. DIY is not a big thing in Brazil and here it seems so easy to do.
By the way which whiskey are you having? Is it Glenfiddich by any chance? would you like some company?

Thanks Anita, I think it's water based, um I didn't use any primer. Thought I might get away with two coats, the first coat covered rather well. Perhaps using a primer might have aleviated the problem.

It's Jameson, but I'll pop out and beg, steal or borrow a bottle of Glenfiddich, to have you as company. Yahoo!

I have a bottle of Glenfiddich, so if Jasmin and Milla make their way to your place Rover, I will be there in a while and get the party started. We can sort the painting out tomorrow.
