Default This unemployment business is getting kind of boring!

It's 8:30am and I've been up since 7am; normally I'd go outside tend to my garden or sit, smoke cigarettes, drink coffee and read, but today I hopped on the computer and in a moment of clarity wondered ''what has become of my life?'' be. I occasionly do some 'massage' work, but I'm traditionally a two-job person; my last stunt in America had me working 3 jobs, being a workaholic is the nature of my beast and last week I was reminded of days gone by when a cousin of mine liken herself to me because of the many jobs she has,; I might have complained of working too much, but I really enjoyed it and miss it dearly now.

I know this economic down-turn isn't going anywhere in the near-future, but I long for the days when you could pick up a paper, answer a few ads and get couple of jobs; I miss riding the rails of the job market. Not just for the money, but for the productivity and the sense of fulfillment. I should blame my Grandmother for my need to work: I remember her sitting on her bed looking through the situation vacant ads, 61 years old and recovering from complications of Diabetes, even though she was drawing both her own and my grandfather's pension, she was still consumed by the need to work for no other reason other than that's what she has always done. Once a worker, always a worker

Wow, you're showing a whole new side to you AnitaSizzle. I would never have expected this, especially from an escort. Most escorts are still snoozing until midday. Great topic, really interesting.

Theres a lot of ppl in your position. Personally the whole economic downturn stuff is extreamly frustrating for me. Its sucks big time. Its not even an issue of money but more of an issue of similar to what you say.

Judging by statistics unemployment has decreased from 13.2% to 12.9% over the past month.Yes it only a small % but it all counts, hopefully this time next year things will be better.I am in a similar position and it is killing me.

I think you are a great writer Anita. You can drop me a PM anytime you want to add freelance writer to your job mix. I'd pay you to write a regular column here.

From the time I turned 16, legal age a minor can work here the States, and most of my adult life, I've had at least two or three jobs; I didn't get into prostitution until my late 20's and even then I'd work a day shift at a massage parlour and then work at an escort agency through the night

The sick part is that these bastards of politicians will go on holidays soon and then come back in a few months and upset the whole country with threats of cutting this and that all the while continueing to overclaim expenses on luxuries that could be done without.

This is what i mean about Lenehans illness. In a few months time this guy will go on about cutting this and that and not give a shit about its effects on anyone.

Some are only back from their holidays, they will be gone yet again soon enough.I just don't get it why they are entitled to such long holidays.I mean it's not enough that they get 8 weeks off for the christmas holidays they several more months off during the summer. It is the taxpayers that fund these trips for them.People can say what they like, polictions are out for themselves, they have an easy life, lapping up the adulation when everything was going right and refusing to take the blame when everything went wrong. They took all the credit for the celtic tiger when in essense the hard working people that made this country were forgotten or simply ignored. They are a disgrace to our forefathers who built and saved this country.
