So you go to see and escort and when you are finished you find the condom has torn..... Now there is no problem health wise.. but 6 weeks later you get a call.. saying she is pregnant.. and wants you to be inviolved financially! And if you dont agree she will take you to court for the childcare payments.. After much testing it is proved you are the Father.. Shouldn't you stand by your child?

if its a true one i just cant imagine any escort wants a baby from a stranger...
but if its proven the baby belongs to you and after he or she was born u shuld pay...why not?if it happens with a local girl from a club?

Very interesting question but strictly speaking as its a buisness encounter and entered into as such by both and if the escort provided that condom for the purposes of supplying said buisness service then really she has provided her customer with an inferior or substandard integral piece of equipment and not the customers fault unless it can be proved his actions caused it to fail.

It would be like a plumber causing your house to be flooded by using substandard parts and then suing for the costs to repair your own house... The client should stictly speaking pay nothing..

I would definetly feel like I was decieved if an escort contacted me saying I fathered a child with her but whether it's a business transaction, a con or just an accident should the lady decide to go ahead with the preganancy why should the child suffer for the sins of his/her parents. I would most certainly feel at the very least finacial responsible for part of the childs upbringing.

Yes i was thinking in the same....im not familiar with Irish law a but its a defo interesting case for any court
In my country we had a bit similar case, actually two women got aids from the same man, but there wasnt any evidence if the man wanted to spread the infection or it just happened accidentally,so there isnt any punishment for him at all.

if we are going to be pedantic about it the escort only charges for her time and companionship so she can claim the condom manafucturer is at fault not her therefore if she decides to have the baby the punter is going to have to pay...am i right?

I would be inclined to say the punter has to pay.. He wasnt forced into having sex! So he should be responsible... Of course he could already be married.. could be very messy.. I dont think the Business pov works on this one.... Dont forget.. Escorts are people too!
