I have used both but tend to prefer appartments. I was one in a hotel with the girl and she was terrified of making noise. This was quite annoying at the time.

Most of my punting has been in apartments, and I'd say that I prefer them hands-down. They're far more discreet, you're less likely to run into other people on the way in or out, and even if you are seen, no one will think anything of it, they'll jsut assume you live in the building or are simply visiting someone you know that does, and there's no front desk people that might stop you and give you the old "Can I help you, sir?" bit.
Apartments all the way mate!But don't pass on the chance to see a lady you're really interested to visit just because she's based in a hotel either!
I would chime in on the side of hotels, especially after the news report of a guy in Cork having hidden cameras secretly filming punters in action in apartments in Cork.
