why do some escorts turn down young punters?

A lot of escorts I've contacted and told me I'm too young and I was turned away at the door,
Others ask to see my id but I don't like the idea of escorts knowing my details in case they end up in trouble with the gardai at some point,
From the young guys I've spoken to this is common,
We are over the age of consent and paying for the service just like older punters why can't we be treated the same?
I somehow can't imagine a 59 year punter being turned down by a 20 year old escort but escorts over 30 seem to want nothing to do with us!

im 23 and have bn punting on and off for about 2 years wit no problems id say the problem is that escorts have bn messed around a lot by young guys ,friends messing and such and as a result all are tared wthh the one brush also what younger guys expect from a meeting is often more like a hardcore porn. my advice is pm first in advance and state your age at least that way u wount b dissapointed at the door also if ypur based in an area wit a lot of escorts the problem is probably worse try a smaller town mabey

I am 23 myself,started this about 2 years ago.i have never had this problem myself but i can understand why you would not like to give personal details,could come back to bite you in the ass in the future.If i was in your position and they asked for id,i'd walk simple as that,maybe try escorts of a similar age to yourself they might not have as much of a problem as the older ones mighthave with this.

Most of the escorts believe in discretion,but we also believe in law.And if any escort askes you for your id,i am sure she is not interested in any of your details,like name or direction,just year of birth!This it doesn't mean that we don't respect you!is like buying alcohol.if somebody askes you for id in that situation i am sure you wouldn't say that you are not respected!

I understand totally where you are coming from and agree with you having only left my teens a short while ago. I havent encountered a problem yet but theres a first time for everything. Just looking at it from an escorts point of view, especially an older escort, i can understand their reservations. Some of us fresh faced lads might not look 18 even though we are and even past it. From a moral point of view, if an escort doesnt genuinely think you are 18 or older, which isnt totally unreasonable on their part, from a moral point of view, they might not be happy until they are convinced by say showing ID because in essence, they could be having sex with a minor, which opens up a whole new can of worms. Added to this is the fact, mentioned by Hor, that unfortunately for us young 'uns, we have gotten a bit of a bad reputation because of a few who spoil it for everyone with bad manners, rudeness and general contempt for someone just trying to do their job and provide a good service. With regard to DH's comment, surely its up to us whether we'd rather pay for an hour of fun and leave it at that rather than go out on the pull and end up getting nowhere. For all you know, alot of younger guys are doing both, having our cake and eating it. Im with Aml on this one. Punting should be for everyone and anyone thats over the age of consent, has the money and respect, manners and shows courtesy to the lady they're visiting?

well, escorts might want to make sure that you are above 18 so that they can be sure they are not doing anything illegal. I understand you might not want to show your id, in that case you can always walk away.

look at this article. Already escorts have enough on their plate from garda, you dont want to add something to it, rt? its just like person at till asking for ID when you buy alcohol.

any escort that i have met often told me that they don't like to see young punters they would much rather the older gentlemen.....i can't for the life of me understand why a lad of your age wants to start meeting escorts 18 is far too young ......you should be meeting girls your own age in clubs and stuff there is plenty of time for you meeting escorts when your older....

Easier said than done,some younger guys might just want a no strings meeting we can't all be lothario's.
