Default Should the pope be invited to ireland?

With all these threads starting about who should be invited to ireland got me thinking, should the pope be invited. With all that has happened in the past few months would he be welcomed with open arms or will he be chastised for his weak response to the ryan report?

Interesting question.Certainly there would be protests from the victims of abuse and their families at his lack of support for them but the older people would probably welcome it.One thing for sure though there would be nothing like the level of interest as there was back in 1979 when the previous Pope came to this country.
    The Truth is out there.

    Invited? How about extradited?

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

Yes... but again only if he says sorry for the suffering his lot inflicted and IS still inflicting on people here...

I think we will need a special sorry gateway at our airports... HRM and HHTP...

    No.

He can hire out a venue if he wishes and people can go if they want. Just like any other person who isn't in politics would have to.
