Thumbs down Over €80,000 in expenses claimed by Fianna Fail's Ivor Callely last year....

But in fairness he gave €4,000 back when people raised eyebrows about it....

TDs and Senators defend expenses - National News, Breaking News - Corkman.ie

Here's John O' Donohue, the man himself, who claimed €4,340 per month of unvouched expenses.

And this man would stand up indignantly and say that of course he took the money, he was proud of it and that he was entitled to it. He would pull out all his bullshit arguments about how it was needed for him to get that money.

    Haaaahahahahahaha.....

And then you have people begrudging escorts and their secretaries/helpers making a lot of money legitimately and consensually from both the giver and receiver of the money? What a joke....

This is what stupid beliefs and "morals" do, they mess up everything to an extreme degree until it's all nonsense beyond comprehension.

his only mistake as far as i can see is getting caught. Said this in the other thread about the Liberal MP in the gay section. I would do this as well and would try my hardest to get away with it.

It's not as if they already earn enough money already, they are some how entitled to insane amounts of money for exspences. This country has become a breeding ground for corruption and greed that i fear we may never come out of.John O'donohue was one of the worst offenders claiming nearly three quarters of the million in exspences in little over 2 years, making excuses that as he was sports minister at the time that he do be at certain events.Well you did'nt have to spend over 4 grand per night in a hotel, you did'nt have to bring your wife to france for a race meet when you were not even sports minister at that point and the arragance of the man the to believe in his dimwitted skull that he actually deserved these benefits when you were earning well over 2hundred thousand per year in your position. You are a poor excuse for a policition and a disgrace of a man.

bro, you mustnt be too familiar with politicians. They will do and say anything to justify their dubious behaviour. Even the so-called honest ones.

All the corruption is still going on. The backhanders, the political favours, the expenses, the corruption in councils and the likes of fas.Its still going on and why?????????????????????????? Because the Public service would have to turn on the public service. If you and i both committed a crime and you hang me then you hang yourself as well. this is the big problem in this country and its what irritates me to no fuckin end with the Pubic service.

the waste and rip offs and bullshit just continues on and on,

Its a different world in the senate and the position comes with many perks apart from the salary and expense account.

Little things like did you know if you are a senator you are entitled to free parking for life in Dublin City Center ...

The simple answer to this question is we can't do a single thing about it.Policitions won't listen to public opinion, they just get on with their lives oblivious to the real problems in this country that or they simply ignore us.
