Thread: Probationary period

  1. #1

    Default Probationary period

I wrote this piece already in Patricia's thread but was interested in the feedback of others.

In order to improve the review system even more I propose two things:

    1. No reviews allowed from members who have joined the day of the review with no posts to their name.

    OR

    2. A minimum number of posts a member has to make in order for them to be allowed leave a review.

Anyone for or against these ideas?

  2. The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Mr Magoo For This Useful Post:

    Irish Soairsa (26-05-10), Rayden (25-05-10)

Hard to say but enough to show that they're willing to get onboard and earn their right to review.

Anyone serious about wanting to contribute to the site won't mind having to wait a short while to gain a bit of credibility.

I understand where you are coming from with this but Scankman would never have been able to put up a review based on those options.
His only post was a couple of years later to complain about the change in the review system, I think.
Maybe any new member who creates a review should be pm'd by a mod with a couple of questions that can be verified by the escort, before the review is uploaded.

You would get newbies posting :

thanks, LOL, great site, interesting discussion, I love it here, sarah rocks, patricia have my babies!! etc.. and other short responses just to BUMP up their post count in order to be allowed to review. But I guess their posts could be checked and see if they were meaningful responses to discussions.

im sure some1 will come up with a better figure but im thinkin somewhere around 40 post before a review. Although having said that it does take 270 posts to become an established member.

Two good answers, lets wait and hear what the mods have to say.

As it stands anyone can do a drive-by-review that would promote an escort or to ruin her, either without having ever met her.

New members are already doing this to get 10 posts to allow them to e-mail escorts.........

I'd agree with the time thing. If they're willing to review, they should be willing to wait and do it........

I'd say the number of profiles that join, post a review and never log back in again is massive...........

I suppose the client could argue that the escorts tour may have ended by the time they're entitled to submit their reviews. Up to them in that case to register as soon as possible for upcoming escort tours.

I like Luther's idea of asking the client to pm a mod so the punt can be verified, if you don't hear back from them or they refuse to do this then simply don't post the reviews.
