Default The way to limit escorting is....

I was at a forum on Friday and a speech was made by a leading Guard...In light of Operation Quest and the recent rise in prosecution of brothel keepers, he maintained that such operations or prosecutions were not the way to eradicate prostitution, nor was attacking the advertising........The solution is twofold, cut down on street prostitution and tackle the locations, locate the people letting / owning the apartments and this will limit supply and discourage letting to obvious escorts.....passing it on, don't shoot messenger....

That Guard has his head screwed on. If I were a member of the Gardai tasked with tackling prostitution, it's the strategy that I would adopt. The only difficulty, is that the police need to obtain proof that the person owning/letting the property was aware of the purpose that the premise was going to be put to or was being put to. However once a property owner/letting agency has been informed that the property is being used as a brothel, he/she would have to evict the tenants or risk prosecution. However, if only one escort is working from the property, then it is of course technically not a brothel and nobody can be convicted of brothel keeping or allowing a premises to be used as a brothel.

Nothing new or very interesting in these policies.

If irish women have more sex with their men, we would eradicate escorting, but that will never happen and prosecuting appt owners pushes it more underground. Guards are stupid!

I don't believe they are stupid. Under-resourced and lacking technology etc. .yes...only a matter of time before this is resolved, particularly in the current climate of industrial unrest. I also do not believe that visiting escorts would be resolved by more sex at home either btw...

The way to limit escorting is.... to sell baby wipes only to women with infants.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I don't punt because my girlfriend won't give me enough sex.

I punt because I get bored having sex with the same person. I do it for variety.

So for me, more sex wouldn't reduce my desire to punt.

I dunno Mr. Fussy are they under-resourced, I would say over-resourced.... gardai can be put to better uses than trying to go after prostitution.

Being realistic, I doubt they want to hurt prostitution much more than they are doing already. They want to stop people from making money from it, make prostutition really hard to do, that's what they want to do. There's a middle ground.

If they don't allow prostitution, I bet anything that sexual crimes would skyrocket. People would hate the government. Some people, for one reason or another, just can't get sex. It's not their objective to destroy it altogether.

Statements like that they make are just for the media. There's noone in the gardai who wants a complete ban on all prostitution, with a couple of girls working from the same space or otherwise.

Fuck you Luther. Any fool knows that if a guy can't get it any other way he will start to harass girls sexually more. I don't know what planet you're living on, but it's obvious what's going to happen if people can't get escorts. Clear as daylight, something undeniable. Look at what happened to the priests when they tried to unnaturally promote celibacy... making prostitution illegal is going along those same lines.
