Only the hypocrisy of the definition of what a family is. You need a piece of paper to qualify...and the fact that men in frocks get to make that decision through/using the Institute of marriage irritates me slightly .

I'm all for rights for all, regardless. Also more Str8 people are affected by this than gay/lesbian etc, as more people are living in SIN these days

I mean the government and religious zealots are keen to have a man and a woman marry. But not a man and a man or woman and woman. Why because thats not how its supposed to be. Says who? err the bible. They forget that the bible was written at a time where marriage kept a family safe with land passing through marriage and was for the benifit of the woman. Times have changed now, They (anti gay marriages) want to preserve the sanctity of marriage. A gay wedding would be an abomination and would take from their marriages. Why? isnt marriage about brining together two people who are in love regardless of anything. As long as there is love and the ability to give full consent there shouldnt be a problem who gets wed.

doesn't bother me at all, if all people are meant to be treated equal then that is exactly what should happen. Discrimination in either a positive or negative way is always wrong.

Why not - who decided that a marriage has to be between a man and a woman? We all get one go round on this earth and my motto is go for it but don't hurt people in the process.

But, does the piece of paper really matter?
