I agree with seanief to a point, a lot of the same people who now are in negative equity, up to their bollocks in debt & facing bankrupcy voted FF back in when their leader was giving evidence at tribunals such as - " I won it on the horses".
To those people I say you deserve everything you get & what an indictment on Ireland that we could have such tolerance for liars, cheats, me feiners & all that accompanies these fucks.
But seanief where has your free-marketeering gotten us ? Where has laiser-faire economics got this little banana republic ?

I agree totally with u that was has gone on is scandalous, worse that 3 people have lost their lives, but this
really is a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. What will these protests achieve? nothing
they will just make a bad situation worse,by going too far they have actually played into the hands of the
goverment as this morning the news channels are saying ordinary decent people want to distance themselves from these murders and thuggery. The problem here is what option has Greece ? none is the answer, if they
dont accept this loan and the conditions that go with it they are bankrupt, so instead of enforced cuts on wages
etc there will be no wages and the people protesting instead of getting reductions will not be paid atall.
In fairness the greek economy is a total basket case,it is almost totally dependent on tourism and i guess there
will be alot of people who were thinking of going there for a holiday will now go elswhere on the off chance of being caught up in all of this . There is a terrible culture of lies and deciet in greece with the goverment leading
the way by cooking the books and not being up front about deficets etc ,it now seems that they lied and
didnt meet the criteria to join the Euro and are now reaping the rewards of this. Also apparently the black economy is huge there and tax avoidance a real massive problem

These aren't the first and second times Greeks have taken to the streets; there were demonstrations nearly two years go about unemployment amongst the 18-25 year olds. Its pretty obvious they don't know how a country should be run. They have had a pretty good run and now it's time to pay the piper

this is the latest argument of the communist/markist/socialist what ever they call themselves
after 1989 and the complete collaspe of their world and belief system and the liberation of the people of eastern europe they embrased the green movement somehow magically making being green a left wing thing. When communism did far more environment damage (chernobyl the ural sea)

The only thing that remains of its communist system is the crackdown on religion and the single party system but the single party system or religious crackdowns don't make a country communist. Communism is an economic model, not a political one. China should be renamed Capitalist China from Communist China!
there are really only two types of government, democracies and dictatorships. some of the dictatorships like China like to call themselves "communist" but that doesn't make them so. sure, you can refer to them as "capitalist china" but they will still officially be called "communist china" because that's what the government wants to be called.

Well, that would be America with a trade deficit of two billion dollars, the largest deficit any one country has with China. I wonder would this have anything to do with the fact the media over here has stopped using the word 'Communist' when describing China? And people here wonder why there is no jobs
