I suppose ringing an escort while standing outside her apartment would be 'very short notice'.
In the past you would have been lucky to get a lady to be available at short notice but nowadays I don't think you would have much problem getting an appointment within 15-30 mins of calling. Of course, there are some ladies who will always prefer more notice so they can be properly prepared.

From my experience clients who book in advance are also more likely to turn up for the appointment. I suspect that some guys who would just send a txt asking if you are free might be sending this txt to several other escorts and just waiting who will reply as it is easier than to call all of them to find where they are and when would they be free etc.
Then of course I'll rather see the one who knows he wants to see me and just me than someone who doesnt really care and doesnt even know if he will show up yet...

text messages are fine if the escort knows the client and that he is genuine but for first time meeting with escorts i would send a pm and my phone number included then text the escort at least she will know its me then this is the best way i think .

I have always preferred arranging my visits at least 24hrs beforehand and if it gives me some form of priority, great.
