Exactly, ladies like me who don't like the stress and rush and who like to be well prepared...

I think an hour notice should be essential if you want your escort clean and fresh. Short notice - what I tend to do is phone when I am in the city as I want to see an escort right away - helps if you have a second choice picked out but this works for me. I have tried to make appointments and always get the same answer - phone 30 minutes before you want the appointment.
