From comments around the forums, I gather that there is a mounting problem with clients attempting to pass fake banknotes off onto escorts.

While I deplore that completely, it occurs to me that it is only a matter of time before somebody works out that they can play the reverse game on clients. The client pays, the escort steps out of the room, switches the notes and returns to say that the money is fake. What can you do about this?

You could pay in small value bills - an escort trying this trick is unlikely to have a huge stack of faked fives and tens. You could even pay in coins - I bet that would get an odd look! :-)

A simpler idea is just to write down the serial numbers of the notes on a small piece of paper and then to check the numbers if this ever happens to you. Then you just say "This is not the note that I gave you. let's call the police and I bet that they will come and search this apartment and find a note with this number on it."

While I am sure that none of the escorts that I have met would do such a thing, I will be taking this precaution myself.

Yes WE get ripped off, and not just by fake euro notes - but that is a thread for another day.

The biggest concerns I'd say for a majority of girls these days are timewasters and avoiding the froot-loops.

But yes, next time someone passes me fake notes I'll definately try and pass them on to my next client - what a bloody excellent idea.

In over a year, only once I got caught with fake notes, so I would say most people are honest in this regard.

fair play to you not passing them on all you need is a euro checker pen to test if the notes are fake or not i know its not nice to check the notes in front of the client but its better than getting ripped of with fakes

That's right, but I still won't stare at the notes in front of a client.
I'm waiting for him to take a shower and then have a quick look at the money.
Some clients don't take / need a shower and that's where it gets interesting

Obviously they're checking them to see if they're fake, nothing to do with rudeness............

And you're right, of course you should check your notes, but out of contempt???

I once got 3 50 euro notes from a cashier at a bank, I was withdrawing 2000 and I always count it after they do, it's at this point I noticed one and checked all the rest carefully, sorry is all I got when I pointed it out to her, next time I met the manager and I said it to him he also just apologised and said unfortunately it can and does happen!!

At the top of every note beside the large 20/50 number is a downward mark, run you nail over this, it should be ridged, if it is not, it is fake.

I have never met an escort that accepted credit cards I think it is an option on the girls profile page when they are setting up their profile and some girls tick it by mistake but I don't think any of them actually accept credit cards.

On the notes thing easier for the girl to pass a fake note in tescos or at the bank than attempt to pass it to a client I would not worry about it

Also, I note that a number of profiles are offering to take credit cards. There is at least one factory in China that makes card readers with an extra little surprise inside. A cellular radio with a SIM card that sends card details (with PIN if used) by SMS to carding gangs. The carding gangs pay the factory to put the radios in the readers and the factory sells them at a low price to small traders who are usually unaware of what they have just bought.

I am suspicious of any card reader - even big stores have been caught out - but I would be very suspicious of a reader used in the escort business. Worst is the fact that, if this did happen, it is very likely that the escort would be unaware of the trick.
