I'm new to this so I'm just wondering about the legal side of things from the point of view of a punter.
Basically, is there any chance of being caught by the police?

Being an escort is not a crime. Availing of the services of an escort is not a crime.

The only time escort clients ever get "caught" by the police is when they visit a "brothel" and the police happen to be visiting at the exact time.

If you are especially worried about encountering the police, you could only visit independent escorts that work alone or only get outcalls to your home or hotel. That way there is no chance you could ever find yourself in what the law could term a "brothel".
