    Default Barca for Champions Leauge

    Barca looked awesome last night.
Or should I say Messi looked awesome.
Does anyone see any other team who could possibly overthrow them this season in Europe?
I'm a United supporter and I honestlt can't see us doing it.

A fully fit United could do it. Inter could also have a shout if they up there game. But you are right, Messi was a class act last night, but again the Gunners were without several first choice players, they held Barca at home too so its not beyond the realms of possibility that Barca could go out soon from the Champions League

I dont think any team could have stopped Messi last night. He may well become one of the greatest players ever in the history of the game if he is not already one.

Well I am a Gooner and could can certainly see Inter choking the life out of Barca.

To be honest Arsenal are easy pickings for a team like Barca, even at full strength. They are far too open and tactically naive.

This situation reminds me of Jonah Lomu and the way he destroyed England with 4 tries in the 95 World Cup semi, but the Saffers knew how to handle him in the final - not a peep ! and Chelsea should have beaten Barca in last years semi.

Its the special one versus the special one in the semis- but there can be only one..........................

I bet Samuel Eto'o and Wesley Sneijder will have plenty to say on the pitch when they do meet - Roll On the semis

I am not disagreeing with you there but he is only one player from 11, I will admit that Barca were themselves without serval key players and any team that can beat Arsenal while leaving Iniesta on the bench is some team by any standerds. Messi is a fantastic player and the oposing teams have deal with him, but aside from that nad a fit Ibrahimovic the Barcxa team is beatable.

No one can stop Messi at the moment. Historically no one has retained the champions league. But I think Barca will this time. The El Classico game at the weekend should be good with all the talent on show between the 2 teams.

I think from the way Wenger conceded that Barcelona were far better tha Arsenal that he will recognise that he needs to strengthen the team. Arsenal aren't far off. It's just against the top teams in England and Eurpoe they struggle. One special player up front and a world class defender would make a big difference. When theres a few injuries Arsenal do struggle and need some more cover. I hope they get David Villa. I'm not hopeful though I saw them linked with Hugo Rodellega yesterday!!
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

True because Bentner and Silvestre are not champions leagie players, they should have bought Richard Dunne when they had the chance
Messi can be stopped though it may prove difficult. Ronaldo vs Messi on Saterday, should be a good game to watch
