I think the point Ryan air are making here is simply not that they want to charge extra for luggage but they are doing
everything in their power to get u to bring less of it. It seems that it would be more economic for them if they didnt have to handle any luggage
rather than charge for handling it. Anyway the amount of luggage people bring on holiday is idiotic, its like they are moving house. I would hazard a guess that half the stuff taken is never used. On a sun holiday u will spend most of ure time in t-shirt shorts etc and prob cheaper to get a few things when u arrive and alot less hassle
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

What we have to understand that we are an Island nation and are dependent on the likes of O'Leary to get us off this rain and wind beaten rock.

Unlike our European neighbours who have the choice of

    Air,
    Sea,
    Rail and
    Road

Ah, I believe we still have the choice of sea travel, which in turn can lead to rail and road travel.........

With regards to Ryanair, sadly in this case, you get what you pay for...........

Ryanairs arguement for all the prices they add on will be that every other airline includes these prices in the tickets, whether you avail of them or not.........

ie, every other airline has already charged you for using the on board toilet because the price is included in the ticket, Ryanair will say, we won't charge you unless you want to use the toilet..........

    Fair point.

I will, no doubt, be one of the millions of hypocritical travellers who use Ryanair again. We do get what we pay for after all. I'll make sure I have the correct size hand luggage and go to the toilet in the airport before my next Ryanair flight though (Just as OLeary intends me to do- he is a great businessman, whichever way we look at it)

Budget air travel should come with a Health Warning - Stress Levels will go through the roof! I need a large brandy just thinking about it lol

Come on ber!!!! Men don't bring much stuff when travelling but we women... Yes, many times we don't need everything we brought but I hate when I need something but i didn't bring on my holiday
Once I was on holiday with a group of mostly Irish people and there was this very nice lady that asked me how many pair of shoes I had brought, obviously she was paying attention It wasn't that many, just the ones I would need
I don't travel with Ryanair anymore since they decided that a woman's hand bag is a hand luggage

Only what I needed to feel marvelously beautiful
I envy men, travelling freely not much luggage.
I saw a movie recently "Up in the air" with George Clooney, he travels a lot and is always very organised with his stuff only bringing what is necessary... but it was business travel, when you are on holidays it is a different story
Ryanair makes you test your hand luggage to make sure it will fit
I wonder how can a company succeed having no customer service like that, I prefer to pay a little more and feel treated a little better.
