little present for my nephew, he's 13.

The Wii is a very fun console indeed, however some games can become frustrating with the controls and as a 13 year might get abit fed up with this.

I have both xbox and ps3 and in my opinion i prefer the Ps3. Both are excellent choices tho

I'd say playstation.
Blueray player built in.
Free online service (provided you have broadband).
Motion controller for ps3 out soon (same type of gameplay as Wii)
Have all 3 in the house, Wii, xbox and ps3 .
I would go with ps3

hmmmmmm.....if i was to leave here and go some where else....which electronic device would i bring with me......
no contest.....the ps3 is the kiddie of all gaming consoles......its also a blue ray dvd player.....u can store all ur musin and all ur pics on it...u can surf the www with it....it is the bees knees..imo

Would I be wrong in saying the Xbox for younger kids and the PS3 for teenagers and older boys , Xbox live is supposed to be much better the PS3's online platform and younger kids tend to want to play with their mates and at 13 that would be on the xbox..

That is a hard choice..., I have to say that I have X Box 360 old PS and the Wii i like all 3 systems for different reason.
I would say 360 as most kids i know of this age have this ..and i know this because i admit i am a game freak and iI also enjoy kicking there butt online.

But the 360 is a little bit of a pain for instance it has to be on a very stable surface as it can *uck up your game like it did mine as just walking across a room can make it jump and also you should cover it with a plastic bag when you are not playing it so the dust keeps out (believe me common problem)
but it is a excellent console and I miss playing it will I am on tour !
I would check with the family what his good friends use as i am sure he will want to kick ass.

In my day it was a rubix cube or a slinky or a really cool dinosaur board game , name of which escapes me , the kids these days have it waaaay too easy if you ask me

Anyone remember the old commodore 64, you could it in go out and have a game of football for an hour or so come back and the game would have finally loaded. Ah the good old days
