Apparently some crazy loon called NBT used to give them to his friends!

I think you have the wrong end of the stick there, buddy. I have no issues with NBT and have always got on well with him but it would be a stretch to describe us friends.

Even the people he gave them to do not know why the got them!!!

Well, I have a fair idea why I got the Trusted Reviewer badge - it's because I am a - er - trusted reviewer. I've been around for a few years, I have a number of reviews on this site pluse several more on the other site and I've been posting fairly regularly for a number of years. My impression is that NBT chose people who are well-known and obviously genuine to get the ball rolling.

Reviewers need to have a solid post history with good contributions to E-I too. Only then they're considered. Whats the problem here?

The problem here would be , SCANKMAN how many posts had he , and hes probably the best reviewer of all time
