Rotten scumbags. They are far worse than people who sell natural drugs like cocaine and marajuana.

They just put on their big suits and their "edurcated" voices and pretend it's all different. They're fucking idiots and bastards, the lowest of the low.

The head shop-drugs are a pharmaceutical business worth millions. The things you can buy in there are all SYNTHETIC, that means they can and will do permanent irreversible damage to your brain.

never used drugs myself but I do think theres been too much scaremongering about these shops if someone wants to get high why cant other people just fuck off & mind their own business? how many deaths have occurred from people takin these 'legal highs'? look at the amount of deaths caused by alcohol each year look it up, on the negative side if these shops are creating anti social behaviour fellas sitting around the neighborhood sitting on walls noisy etc then thats unacceptable noone should have to put up with that allow head shops but with regular supervision r/e anti soc behaviour goodnite....

Default watch closely what will unfold...

in a kneejerk nanny like manner, the state will ban all head shops.
smugly believing it has solved the evident drug problem.
through the summer there are various riots and serious crime incidents, invariably
drink related from an angry youth with no work.
various narco criminals from ireland and eastern europe fight open
street battles with firearms for territory.

social decay ensues. prostitution, theft, rape and assault are daily experiences.
the garda refuse to police vast areas of the nation.
stone gaurds for windshields become standard in the urban areas of dublin, cork and mullingar.

after a weekend of particulary offensive depravity, an emergency cabinet meeting begs the
old headshop owners to reopen and save the country from further urban decline.

several years on, more people enjoy getting high and viewing a bigger picture. tourism doubles
in the republic and the country could be described as mature.

They should just legalese cannabis so people dont have to smoke these weird alternatives. There are many places that have done this and society has not collapsed. I find the moronic level of debate about head shops depressing, there is no debate other than "drugs are bad and something must be done". Just the unthinking knee jerk reaction of conservative sheep.

The whole thing reminds me of a story from a book called "Kentucky Ham", was about a huge drug therapy clinic in the US in the 50's , when the inmates got tired of something on the menu like bananas thay would start a rumor that you could get high by smoking banana skins and then the authorities would take that off the menu and replace it with something else.

Anyway, It's going to take some creative thinking to actually stop these substances because as they ban one item new ones will be created. creating a cycle of risky experimentation that will eventually lead to bigger problems.

there is not one documented case of a death caused by cannabis over thousands of years of cannabis use. and very little evidence of any real harm. The authorities are only harming there own credibility by insisting that cannabis is a dangerous drug that should be illegal.

anyway, I could go on. but have little believe that the political system or people in this country could act logically on the available evidence and enact sensible change.
