And now you say "tough shit", what do you want to do about it?
Actually we were well able to support them - If they hadnt come our economy would not have developed as well as it did. Ultimately our elected government fucked it up. Elected by the Irish - foreigners not allowed to vote - So I blame the Irish people myself.

The Irish-born population in Britain is the world's third largest overseas community of any country-of-birth group behind Mexican immigrants to the United States and Turks to Germany.

In 2001, there were 674,786 people in England (1.4 per cent of the population) who had been born in Ireland. This is the greatest concentration of Irish-born—as distinct from persons of Irish ancestry—abroad anywhere in the world and was equivalent to 12.1% of the population of the island of Ireland (5.6 million) in 2001.

Today the estimate is in excess of 850,000 including Scotland and Wales
    Liberal double-speak
Your not comparing like and like.
This does not give 400,000 immigrants in 10 years the right to permantly settle here
    and displace us
This is a small country We have taken in too many Immigrants In too short time
on the basis of one of the biggest false BOOMS in history in relative terms.
and we have now seen the one of biggest recession in modern history
There was too be a reduction in the number, 80% of young people want it
    But the government are retarded
I amazed there is not a riot maybe the social welfare is too good
or maybe the people are leaving instead of rioting.

Do you think its a good idea that A Corpation gets together with a recruitment agncey hires
a East european when there irish available and leaves the Irish worker on the dole.

Maybe the Yanks should have kept the Irish out look at the damage the kennedys did?
And by the way the Yanks are deporting iilegal irish as we speak evey week.

why the hell should i work for less just because some foreigner will? thats the position of alot of Irish. Its not that those jobs were beneath them but that they were pushed out by those who work for f'all. They could work for way less and still have way more money and they did just that.

It will continue on anyway because of the sell outs in this country who got scared and voted Lisbon.

    Default an open goal

If we follow with the logic of those against immigrants then surely it is only right and proper that all Irish working abroad should return here if there is any job they may be taking from the indiginous population.

Any other opinion would be hypocrisy of the highest order dont you think ?

I'm talking about the legal ones. The illegal ones are a completely seperate issue..........

Yes, perhaps to many came, but they did do legally, and were welcomed with open arms..........

This is our fault, not theirs...........
