    Default Vatican Football Team

I see that Giovanni Trappatoni has said that he would like to manage the Vatican City football team before he retires. They certainly would not be lacking spiritual guidance although I doubt that they will be qualifying for any major tournaments anytime soon.

Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni has said he would like to turn his hand at coaching the Vatican City's national football team in the future.

The Vatican City is not a FIFA member and they often play in religious tournaments and selected internationals.

But Trap likes the idea, and he has given it the thumbs up.

"I have been asked to coach the Vatican national side, but I am currently working for Ireland," he told La Repubblica.

"But when I retire then I would like to."

Trapattoni was at a special conference for the fourth edition of the Clericus Cup that kicks off on Saturday in Rome.

You like seeing male footballers bending over do you ber?

Maybe he should try coaching the female soccer team, and for health reasons insist on showers for all himself included after the game.

He would also have to look at the girls all over, feel them in and out, just to get a FEELING of what they should be doing in practice etc. at least that's what I'd do. God what am I like.

Dunno If JP II was alive they might stand a chance. Wasnt he a goalkeeper or something. They could legitimatly claim they hand of God as their own. They could beat most of the South American teams by telling the devot Catholics amoung them that it would be a cardinal sin to beat them
