Red face Another year without a trophy

I had a feeling before the match Chelsea would beat Arsenal. I was hoping the terry affair would have an effect but it didn't. If he played for Arsenal it probably would have At least they didn't role over like the game against Utd. It was a better performance. It's still no consolation as it's more points dropped and almost certainly out of the title race. Two losses against Chelsea and Utd doesn't look good. It shows their not as good in the big games. A draw or a loss aginst Liverpool would be a disater then their looking over their shoulders for 4 th place never mind third. Now I know how the Liverpool fans feel It's not fair though all these big games in a row. I wonder how would Chelsea and Utd fair in consecutive games against top 4 contenders. Probably better but they would still drop points.

It was a season that started with so much promise with goals flying in starting with 6-1 away against Everton. Injuries havn't helped, especially the loss of Van Persie and alot of these players coming back not match ready yet. It's a pity he didn't splash out for Chamakh rather tha trying to get him cheap and then waiting till the summer to get him free.

I can see the headlines tomorrow trying to unsettle Fabregas with rumours of him going to Barcelona yet again.

Fabregas just didn't cut it out there today , wonder if he's seriously thinkin about goin to spain . So Van Persie is injured , is that the reason why the team just isn't cutting it against Chelsea and United ? Once you stop Arsenal playing the slick passing game they do , as the last 2 games show , they just wander aimlessly about the pitch and don't give their all . Wenger has talked them up this season , and now he's back to making excuses about the teams age and how unlucky they are . Gus Hiddink could do a good job there if you gooners have had enough of the excuses coming out of Wengers mouth for the last few yrs

No excuses hiway - just not good enough- I blame Arsene for the defensive frailties - playing like that will make Porto favs in CL.

United have been without a regular defence and Chelsea are getting older and were missing players for Africa- didnt hurt them too much.

Theres always next year for us eh ?

WE are just not good enough. I love the Boss but he has to buy a few players. WE will win nothing with little guys like Nasri and that useless pair of plonkers, Bendtner and Denilson. Need a New spine in the team, centre forward , midfield and centre half and big, experienced ones at that.

A big man up front and a midfielder like Fellaini would be needed to rough up Chelsea and Utd when plan A doesn't work.

Theres always next year Alec but we've been saying that every year now. I wouldn't swap Wenger for Hiddink or anyone but he needs to blend some ready made talent with what he's got. A few injuries and the team looks very light. It's time to spend the cash on the right players.

I'm wondering what will happen in the summer as it looks ineveitable that Stan Kroenke will aquire .1% needed for a takeover bid to reach 30%. Surely then money would be spent but would that mean Wenger leaving as he doesn't believe in spending money?

so Arsenal have been beaten twice by both Man U & Chelsea their defence was found out against the better teams they've been made look a better team against weaker opposition I'd like to have seen them win the Premier as they play flowing football simply not good enough though they'll beat a Torresless Liverpool on Wednesday though
Arsenal record against Man U & Chelsea this season
Home to Man U LOST 3-1
Away to Man U LOST 2-1

Home to Chelsea LOST LOST 3-0
    Away to Chelsea LOST 2-0

    NOT GOOD ENOUGH....

Lots of players that Wenger could buy. Pavelchenko could be snapped up on the cheap might work well with Arshavin. If ye ask nicely United could even do a deal with ye give ye Berbatoss and Owen . Or he could what he did with Sol Campbell and bring Ian Wright out of retirement

Your alright you can keep Owen and Berbatov. Pavelychenko would have been a good signing, even on loan untill the end of the season. There was plenty strikers available even Kenwyne Jones on loan would have been good.
