Parked in Grand Canal vicinity today, as usual, and was having a cigarette whilst calling for an appointment. Saw this guy approach the car out of my rear view mirror. Came up and produced his Garda ID and asked what I was doing. I explained that I was having a cigarette and making a phone call as I did not want to do this whilst driving. He told me he was taking a note of my car as people in the area had complained of nuisance traffic at all hours visiting escorts. I got a bit irate at this saying it was public parking and I could do what I wanted as long as I obeyed they parking toll etc....he then told me to move on, telling me I would be arrested if I did not comply...I work in the legal field so asked him for his name and noted his number. I stayed there for about 30mins, all the time himself and his partner were there in an unmarked car....just be careful....

Blocks of offices and apartments, half finished developments and they are investigating nuisance traffic, should have told them to do what they are paid to do.

You need to leave the souped up scooby with the shark fin spoiler at home when on punt trips and take something less conspicuous like a nissan micra or somit

I am not surprissed,its my favourite place to park,so handy,but i punt mon-friday during the daylight hours it doesnt worry me,but thanks for the tip Mr.Fussy.

I take it that this was yesterday, Sunday. Can I ask what time? I am not doubting you but what you say seems bizarre. Did you check with the police that this guy was real?

With news of raids and now this, is anyone in the know as to whether there is an increased effort by de gardee to crackdown on the business. Hope not !
I was thinking of hanging up my boots soon, but not just yet!
and this isn't going to put me off either by the way.

However , does anyone have advice on what say to a gard if one is caught with ur knickers down as it were ??

I take it that this was yesterday, Sunday. Can I ask what time? I am not doubting you but what you say seems bizarre. Did you check with the police that this guy was real?

It was about 4.00pm, got guards number and was able to check it was valid as I work in legal profession....
Please note there is no law that prevents you seeing an escort in a non brothel environment. As most escorts operate a 2 girl system for safety (thankfully), if one girl operates (or says she is) as a receptionist / cleaner there is no legal come back. If 2 girls are caught 'in flagrante delicto', i.e. in the middle of it, there is no legal precident in ireland for either their or punters prosecution. If a known brothel situation exists, linked to other locations or more than 2 girls on premises then prosecution differs.....
