And your quite right, but in fairness to the films, and even tv commercials, it's often the medium that brings many of these wonderful pieces to peoples attention..........
Ya that's a good point alright. However the fact that it has been used in dance (music?) really annoying. Bunch of talentless idiots. IMO.

I love Classical music and Opera and I am glad that I have had the oportunity to see some of my favourites while I am in Europe

Awhile ago I was brought to London by this gentleman to see La traviata as he knows that I like operas . . . I was feeling like "Pretty Woman"

YouTube - Lucia Popp and Placido Domingo - BRINDISI (La traviata)

Carmen - Bizet is one that I like too and I saw it in Dublin

YouTube - Anna Caterina Antonacci "Habanera" from Carmen

What do you listen to in the car? I find myself with Lyric FM on all the time now. I have quite a few tracks on my phone which I stream to the radio and get completely lost in the music.

I recently added 'Elizabethan Serenade' by the BBC Radio Orchestra to my collection and I must say I get completely lost in it. Quite dangerous whilst driving Im sure!
