E-I Videos Coming Very Soon

Hi,

Just a quick post to let you know that later this week we will be adding new video features to the site.

Escorts will be able to upload a video to their profile, much like you add a video to youtube. To start with escorts will only be able to have 1 video, but we will probably increase this to 3 very shortly, so ladies can have more than 1 video if they like.

We will be getting rid of the youtube video link option in escort profiles, as it isn't working out, youtube is deleting most of the videos under their no adult content rules.

We will be adding a section to the hompage prominantly featuring escorts with videos, as a reward to escorts who go to the effort of making a video, as we believe clients wants videos and thus we should encourage ladies to get them by offering extra exposure to those that do.

We will be keeping an eye on the uploaded videos and may remove any that are too explicit, based on our current photo guidelines, which are that "Sex acts between persons, masturbation or naked genitalia are not allowed in escort photographs."

We also think only real videos should be allowed. A slideshow of pictures which doesn't actually include any video footage isn't really a video and shouldn't be allowed we think as it is too easy. We feel if we allow this type of thing, everyone will be uploading slideshows and the ladies who have really gone to the effort of making a video won't get the benefits as the video system will be flooded with slideshows.

As soon as I can have the video functionality working, I will post here to announce that it is. Before then you may see a few videos here and there, this is just us testing.

[1] It's not fair that I said I will only allow real videos, i.e. not picture slideshow videos.

A couple of ladies have said this is not fair, they don't have a video camera to make a real video, but they would perhaps make a slideshow of pictures in windows movie maker and upload that, and why shouldn't they be allowed to?

I said only real videos, as I guess I think videos should be videos not picture slideshows?

[2] The proposed featured or latest videos slot should not be added to homepage, it is highly unfair that ladies with videos will get any extra exposure over ladies who don't.

Several ladies feel quite strongly about this, saying they will never put a video up...

Dunno if I'm too late to throw my 2 cents in here, but regarding "not having a video camera" is not a great excuse tbh. 99% of mobile phones have video technology, and the quality, is fairly decent. Nobody's asking for a 2 hour HD movie...

And for the ladies who feel its highly unfair, that profiles with video will get more exposure on homepage, in this day and age, it falls into the same category as having verified pics and allowing reviews. If your gonna have a verified pic, whats the difference in putting up a video? Just dont show your face in the vid...not rocket science!

Looking at the help section pretty much any format is acceptable bar DIVX. No real limitations on size either as 500mb is more than enough to have over an hour of footage but it would take so long to load most guys will loose interest long before that, I would try keep it to a reasonable file size if I were you.
The player is flash based so if you are really keen to control how the finished product looks I would recode it to .flv

I'm not sure "fairly decent" quality is really going to appeal to many escorts. Some of them have spent quite a lot of money getting professional photos done. If they add an amateur video then many punters will watch it and think "so, she doesn't really look like that after all". For them it's better to use the still pictures they already like, and a bit of video editing.

Just to be clear, I don't think there is anything deceptive in not wanting to use amateur pics or video from a mobile. Those pictures are often more misleading than the photoshopped professional ones, just in the wrong direction. I remember when Karin started, she had a set of pictures that made her look green.
