A pretty shallow award, with no merit. We actually dont deserve the award because we kicked up such a stink over it its just FIFA trying to say yeah we were wrong but we arent going to do anything about it so as a comprimise heres the wooden spoon or the 'fair' play award, the only award we will ever win. A pretty hollow gesture dont you think.

Not brining all this up again, still trying to forget about it, but surly time for a change in the body.

Since when was a handball not an infringement.?

When the team that commited the act can bring in much needed revenue and would be seen to be a favorite, not to mention that the head of UEFA is a froggie too

    Rant over

    For now.....................

He saw the opportunity and he took it. It's within the bounds of refereeing/linesman error.

I think that only if it's something dangerous or offensive should there be a possible sanction afterwards.

What we should be complaining about now is the ridiculous "top seeded team gets to play home first" rule for the next playoffs, which is clear moving of the goalposts.

He offended the Irish nation, does that count?
Whatever about the home and away legs for the seeded players its the fact that if we qualified we would have moved up in the seedings orselves and (hopefully) got a worse extra team than us in the group

If the ref didn't see it, it's fair game. That's football, suckers!

If he was punished now it would be an embarrassment for FIFA. They would have to replay the match or re-instate us instead of France.
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

As much as I would love that, It was never going to happen, but a match ban would have been enough, at least someway fair, instead of saying that he did nothing wrong and as long as the ref doesnt see it its legal
