I personally liked Timothy Dalton because I think he embodied the character perfectly. Daniel Craig is an ugly jug-eared cunt, unworthy of an MI6 expense account and the hot Latino pussy he seems to keep scoring.

    What do YOU think?
Have to agree with Mousey. Dalton was the best. He was also the most accurate to the Ian Fleming Novels. He was humorless, psychotic and very sexy.

McGyver, you're right to some extent. Ian Fleming based James Bond on David Niven and actually recommended him to Eon Productions when they were casting for "Dr. No". David Niven didn't get the part, but did play James Bond in an unofficial comedy-drama film called "Casino Royale" back in the 50s or 60s. Like Connery's "Never Say Never Again", it's not considered a canon Bond movie because Eon Productions (who owned the movie rights) didn't make the movie.

Interestingly, the final three actors for the part of Bond in "Dr. No" were Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Patrick McGoohan. McGoohan you might recognise from the 6os TV show "The Prisoner", he also played King Edward Longshanks in "Braveheart". Connery got the part over Moore because they reckoned Moore looked a bit too young, but was offered the part after Connery hung up his Walther after "Diamonds Are Forever".

Also, Pierce Brosnan was offered the role of Bond in "The Living Daylights", Dalton's first film. He accepted the role and was all set to leave "Remington Steele", a US TV show he was in at the time. However, the publicity surrounding Brosnan being offered the part caused the show's producers to invoke a clause in Brosnan's contract to keep him on for another season, and Eon were forced to recast, and they chose Dalton.

Finally, Daniel Craig is a jug-eared cunt.

Brosnan had the possibility to be the best, but he had to work with the worst scripts (invisible fucking car ).

Dalton was very good and Living Daylights is highly under-rated IMO.

Craig has the potential, but they really need to improve for the next one.

I grew up with Moore (A View to A Kill was my first Bondian cinema experience) and will always like his movies (Max! Zorin!), but Connery is still the King.

I just wish they had gone a bit meta when Brosnan came on board and referenced the earlier incarnations of Bond - Bond is an identity that when the old one is killed or retired they bring a new agent in or promote poor old 006, i.e. Her Majesty needs a James Bond situation. I'm sure they would have messed it up, but it would have been nice to reference the earlier missions...
Though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

your right the dalton bond films are highly under rated its a pity he didn't do some of brosnan's films i think he was better than brosnan but that invisible car buzz was a poor film anyway i agree with you there

    Default No Contest

For me this is no contest has to be Connery,he has the x factor
Connery also has made some excellent movies outside of the
Bond role and i would consider him a much more accomplished
actor than any of the others
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed
    but
    Vincent Browne is a Hero
