    Default The Demise Of The Gumtree Personals

    It is with great sadness that Gumtree has decided to scrap the personal columns.

    I always found this a great service and it was FREE.

    I personally got to shag about 15 women over the last 2 years thanks to Gumtree.

    But its fate was sealed when it was taken over by EBAY.

    EBAY being a mainstream American company obviously does not want to be involved in ads like "do you want to suck my cock etc"

    Also typical to an American company they probably fear some legal case if someone was to meet Jack the Ripper through their site.

    All I can say is R.I.P Gumtree fare thee well.

    Actually you are right the person who comes up with a replacement site would make a small fortune.

    Obviously you would need to check the legalities etc.

    Have you tried 'Craigslist'.com? It's really big in America, and I'm sure that's where alot of 'Gumtree' people will go, actially 'Craigslist' is where they should have went first, but 'Gumtree' has been able to overtake the overseas market.
