Default A heartfelt plea to the Nation

Stop reading newspapers. Its something i did from time to time during 2009 that i used never do.The result ,i was thinking of things that i normally never gave a toss about. What will the budget cuts be etc etc.I am going back to my older ways of no newspapers or tv news. Its mostly bad exagerated opionions of those who rely on them to make money.

    Follow me,
    Westside.

    Good point Westie.

I have boycotted the Independent, Herald and Irish Daily Mail as they have lambasted ordinary decent public sector workers for the last 18 months.

Which is a laugh as a large ownership of the Independent Group is Denis O"Brien who is Irelands biggest TAX cheat.

A least a lowly paid public servant pays tax unlike Denis who pays fuck all.

The only paper I read is the Times which still has some objectivity left.

    Default I agree

you see most people have become almost programmed to the idea of wanting to read/hear about bad news due to the media It affects people in different ways I meet many people each week I know who are all doom & gloom talk all about bad news I know its unavoidable but as West says avoid reading SOME of the paper or bad news on TV if not the whole lot of it....

    Default Good Idea Westie

I never read the papers anymore, well except the back pages for the sport.

    Default Another thing

alot of ppl would come along and say something like "buts thats avoiding reality or you can only take positive thinking so far or you have to be a realist etc etc etc".

My answer to these ppl is i do the best i can and let the chips fall where they may but i rather be in control and have my health than read constant bs thats out of mu control and ruin my health by dwelling on it.

seems like the obvious choice really,
    Westside.
