It was making a joke of the Christmas number one in recent years with the winner of The X Factor and before that Popstars and Pop Idol. At least it's a genuine number one this year from a band that's been around a while. I don't think this ready made success for X Factor winners is a good thing. It should be a gradual process to ease them into it.
