Can I ask the ladies to be specific when they’re giving directions to their places?

I arranged to meet a girl tonight in Dublin. She told me a landmark in the city and asked me to ring from there. I went there, thinking I’d be across the road or something, only to be directed to another road a twenty minute walk away, and I still didn’t know where I was going once I got there.

I understand that ladies have to be security conscious but I don’t really have the time to be wandering all over the city. I’m frustrated now and she missed a date, so we both lost. As I say, I understand discretion, but you have to give a guy some chance to park his car within a mile of your place.

the language barrier.Even with good English some of the foreign girls way of understanding things may be different to an Irishmans.

I agree with Stuart's Rod, i have had some bad, frustrating, annoying experiences trying to find girls. You get to the place they tell you to go to, and when you ring them you've another mile or two to walk, or trying to find the place which may be off the main street and then off the next street and the next one and the next one, so its impossible to find some of them. So if you book an appointment for 8pm and you ring at about 7.55pm, you actually arrive at 8.15 or 8.20pm, all tired and flushed and sweaty from walking and then not feeling half as much up to the job than when you originally phoned and booked. Alot of it has to do with the language thing about understanding the girls, but even the one's who speak English still don't give enough info about where they are. I know there's a security issue but if they want some business they'd wanna be a bit more precise about where they are.

the language barrier i found to be a problem for me in the past when trying to find directions but to be totally honest i would have trouble finding my arse with both hands at the best of times anyway

Goldmember is right about the logistics of the thing. Strange though it is to write, fellas can be a bit nervous about these meetings too. Vague directions or having to call over and over are awkward. And I hate cancelling a date because it is unfair on the girl, as she might have turned down another booking in the meantime. This is the advantage of the clubs in Germany, of course, where you can just turn up. I don't see many of them opening here anytime soon though.
