    Exclamation muscle strain

EVERYONE I need tips for this please.

I have managed to strain the muscle above/under my scapula (shoulder blade) and unfortunately its a boring strain, too much writing in a bad sitting position, but I have exams coming up and need to be able to write which at the moment is crazy painful to do.

I am open to ANY AND EVERY suggestion.

    please please help

A good massage is what you need. I'll be very reasonable if you want me to do it.

    Westside.

hurts more when i bring it backwards but there is also a slight pain when its raised over my head.

it started slowly on monday so i tried repositioning myself, adding more cushions, taking all cushions away, not using my vibrator as much etc etc . alas none worked and slowly as the days went on it got worse, then today it got so bad that now i cant write or even position myself in such a way as to relieve the pain.

the pain is like a very dull annoying pain like a pulled muscle but it does have a certain tightness to it aswell,it feels like a pain that when you stretch a certain way it should go away but my god i have stretched every way i know how and with the help of others some ways i didnt know even existed and for feic sake its still bleedin here

Ya I was gonna try and get some difene tomorrow as apparently its quite a good anti-inflammatory but need to be alert enough to study so dunno if the difene will affect that.
have tried tiger bsalm which is like deep heat,it helped a little but only masked pain i think

your rombhoid is gone into spasm sweetie. There is no tear.the reason i asked if it hurt overhead is its would rule out the rotators if it doesnt which is the case.

Stretching is a waste as this area is very limited in its range of motion anyway,.

Try this.First take some nurofen.Get a tennis ball and put it between a wall and your back.Roll around until you find the area and roll another bit until you find the sorest spot. Now put pressure on that area by leaning against the tennis ball.hold the pressure for about 20 secs or so.Then realease the pressure and roll around the area generally.do this for a few mins everyday.Ice the area about three times per day for about ten mins each time.Put a cloth or towel under a tap and squeeze the water out and wrap ice or a cold pack (a pack of frozen veg would do).

As the area starts to feel better, lie facedown on a table or stool or the hang off the edge of a bed and holding a weight in each hand.Use something managable. Now pull back and up while at the same time squeezing your shoulder blades together tight.hold it for about five secs and then repeat.

Give it about a week of this and you should be fine.Dont overdo the tennis ball stuff and make sure to ice several times per day.Do the exercise each time after the tennis ball but before the ice.Ice seperatly the rest of the time.

    dont think about it either,
    Westside.
