Ireland has first case of internet defamation | Pinsent Masons LLP

In 2001 Escort Ireland was at the centre of Ireland’s first case of internet defamation after a Galway businessman admitted advertising a rival businesswoman’s personal details on the website, which led to her receiving hundred of calls asking for prostitution services

hence the guy who gave you the number could have a grudge against the lady.

I know it's a little worrying but I'd try not to worry. You did nothing wrong, you called a wrong number, it was an accident, no crime was committed. I'd be surprised if a cop even called you over this, but if one did, you should just say you got wrong number, simple as. I really don't think a cop would visit your house over this.

If I was you I'd not tell how you came into the number, I'd just say it was that you dialled the wrong number, nothing more. If you admit who gave it to you and that you were told it was an escort number, if the lady is trying to get the person who distributed her number charged with harassment or whatever, you could be making youself a potential witness there.

    not another sim either
and deffo not your own registered mobile.
You are a silly goose really.

Just say you dialled a wrong number deny proposing to her.

it will be your word against hers.

Option 1 If its a ready to go phone , just bin it and say u lost it ages ago. I doubt very much if the will check call records.

Option 2 Just say you called her because you heard she does therputic massage and you have and iffy back from climbing up and down the stairs of the clarion

    Either way.....Worries over

Lesson learnt ....beware of friends bearing gifts.

    Default Other priorities.

--- Anyhow E.P. the " GRUNTERS" are gonna be too consumed in Crimbo Party arranging and planning Anti Wage-cut protests than scratching their dull heads to investigate a " PRANK" , which if worst came to worst is all you have to admit being a part to. eh ?

Exclamation EP, you need to do something about this immediately.......

    Forget about it............

All you did was dial a number.....

But nobody will contact you about this again, and if they do, let me know and I'll "get it sorted".............
