Very good points, no one sees the efforts gone to by mods as evidenced by the massive use of mod forum on a daily and hourly basis. It is far more active then open forum is at times. Patricia can vouch for that as an independent voice in case anyone thinks we are county council workers leaning on our shovels.

Of course big difference between blabbing bitching and moaning in the private forum and actually doing something useful just because you are actively bitching in there doesn't mean you are actually doing anything constructive.

The way i look at this is,when the mods are posting on this forum they are no different than any other poster,most of what they are there for is done away from the public boards.some people here seenm to just sit at their pc's waitin for a chance to pounce on a mistake by a mod and thats the only time we see these public arguements.(they nearly always involve the same few people).all this crap about mods up on their high horse or abusing power is bullshit.no problems wit any single one of them,in fact most of them are my favourite posters

I think we all can see that you and others do there best and I thank you for it but it's some of the hairy decisions that is the problem... I know personalities are always going to clash but it's what we learn from them especially when crticism is from some of the more rational posters

QPHs problem is he let's his pettiness and ego get the better of him instead of letting that thread die as it was he had to plod in with his size nines mainly to piss off sonny. That thread had little or no criticism of the mods over the horan thing and it was all but over. But QPH rightly or wrongly thinks sonny is bbj and his ego has to show bbj who the boss is.

In general the mods are ok I still think qph is unsuitable and I think this shows it again.

So thank you QPH for proving me right again.

The way I look at this is you have set your sights on becoming a mod and you think the best way of achieving that goal is to plant your tongue as far up QPHs arse as you can get it. However you should note Patricia owns this site so your tongue may well be in the wrong place.

If all the regular posters (excluding the mods) voted on this poll, and all of them said that every single mod was doing a bad job... ... do you really think that any of the mods would resign, or the idea of mods in general be scrapped?

I have no idea what mods do behind the scenes, and an argument might be made that, compared to the site's technical support staff, they don't do much other than police the forums. But like it or not, mods and their powers are here to stay. We must accept that. We must accept that sometimes bad decisions will be made. We must accept that a mod will occasionally push you around just because he can. We must accept that there is nothing we can do as general forumites except to highlight these issues. Again, and again, and again.

I think we've made our point regarding Alec's banning. It's Friday anyway, he'll be back tomorrow morning posting shite as usual

Im sure WD is well able to reply himself but I have to say that those remarks were well over the top.
Just because he does not have the same opinion of the moderators in general and QPH in particular as you do is no reason to attack him like that.
