Default Ladies...at what age did you first use makeup?

be it eyeshadow, lipstick foundation etc

at what age did you first try it ?

what was your parents reaction ?

do girls start younger these days , what do you think is the correct age ?

what does it mean to a girl when she first uses it (sign of womanhood, initial interest in boys, peer pressure etc) ?

its a world so utterly out of the experience/interest of men that I must sate my curiosity.

as for the lads, any metrosexuals out there. i use deoderant and that is it - nowt else, anything more than that and I'd be an inter county hurler........

I started wearing foundation at 13, but gave it up after my aunt complained that there was more of it on her bathroom walls than on my face , and that I probably needed a chisel to take it off

I never liked wearing to much make up but I have noticed that girls have started wearing it much early now. They go to school looking like if they were going to a party

I think when you are a young girl you just want to be like your mom or your aunt then you just try everything that they wear (make up, high heel shoes . . .)

Being a teenager girl of course they start to notice the guys and want to look nice. But the more natural they are the nicer they look (my opinion). . . I am just not going to try to convince a teenager girl about it She will discover in the most hard way that she will look older much sooner wearing too much make up

I think that it's acceptable for anyone to put natural creams on your face, now hold up a second... not because you're trying to make yourself someone you're not but to give your skin back the nutrients they should naturally be getting themselves. It's not vanity or putting up an artificial face which I'm totally against, it's trying to give you back what you're naturally evolved to have. It's trying to take away the frankenstein aspect of you created by your artificial environment.

A little while ago as well I rubbed some mud on my face and honey as well. The reason the mud is good for it is that we evolved into having mud and plants and all sorts around us all the time. So the skin was able to make use of that. Now our skin is starved of those things. You're not being "cool" or a hard man or anything by not putting mud etc. on your face, the exact opposite if anything. Let "metrosexual" be to the guy who is doing stuff to his face *every* day, I don't even wash my face every day and never used to. And I don't believe washing your face is necessary every day... because it's not that natural for me.

As well there's the fact that your skin might now be irrreversibly cut-off from your bloodstream and unable to get its nutrients properly even if you eat perfectly. That's why I got cheap creams with vitamins and collagen and things like that in them recently, because your skin is a bit like teeth: if you were an animal you wouldn't have to brush them.... although I actually very rarely use the creams because I'm *still* afraid they might do more damage than good.

I used to think "animals don't brush their teeth, why should I?", a few months later I lost one of my teeth a few years back... EVEN THOUGH I was eating perfectly. It's because your teeth need continual maintainance because of how they were formed. So it's the same thing with your skin in a way.

If you insist on using make-up still, mineral make-up is the way to go as it has magnesium and zinc and other things to help your skin. It took a very long time for the "skincare" industry to come around to this, and many older women's skins were probably left ruined after the other things they took.

But does anyone know how to get good skin all over your body? I mean I can pretty much give up on getting my face much better since it's still not great even though it's way better than it was, there's a LOT of permanent damage done. But is there anything you can add to bathwater or anything to make your skin much better? I heard of magnesium salts before but I couldn't find them anywhere...

there's nothing worse than a woman with a massive amount of make up on her face...

so ladies, if you are going to shoot yourself in the mush with the make up gun, just make sure it's not set to 'whore'

Ladies, if any of you are looking for a high-protein natural cream that smoothes out wrinkles and makes you loo young, then stop by the Mousehole
