drink driving is the cause of a huge amount of accidents & deaths in this country yesterday Fianna Fail backbencher Mattie McGrath said ''I know people for whom drink is a relaxant & they might be more relaxed without it I drink everyone knows drink affects people in different ways even one drink impairs your concentration in my mind, why not ban drinking altogether if your behind the wheel zero limit

i agree there should be zero tolarence when it comes to drink driving

if you go out maybe sunday for lunch or what ever the reason, you shouldnt even be allowed to a glass ov beer. none what so ever, dont care who you are or what your capable of drinking, there's people lives out there that your taking a chance with!

i had a lucky escape once when stoped by the cops i had two pints and i was told to get out of the car i thought to myself harry its your own fault my legs were like jelly with the fear but i was very very lucky the cops took my keys and the lady cop drove my car home and the guy brought me home but i got a good warning and i would never ever do anything like that again if i had been drunk i think they would have done me for sure never again

I got breathalised once, when I was younger

Id say the saw me coming in my banger of a car at the time

and said Random Breath test.

There was nothing Random about it
all the new mercs and whatnot were let through
but my green 98 polo (thank God thast gone) was stopped

Was told to breath in to the device till he said stop

Not the best thing to say to a heavy smoker btw

Any way after blowing into it and turning blue in the process

I asked if I passed, jokeingly

and the cop replied , Why shouldnt you have and he gave me another breath test agaion on the spot

Its horrendous for a public figure to say what I stated above it just goes to prove how far removed from reality some are, if u drink & drive u are a halfwit u couldn't care less about yourself but moreso how dare u put other peoples life at risk without a care in the world the cheek of u...
