    Default I'm moving to Belgium

My Belgian colleague told me this today about Belgium and I never laughed so much.

Basically Belgium has the same prostitution laws as Holland (ironically betting shops are illegal). But what made me almost piss my pants, if you're on disability benefit for a mental illness such as depression. You receive a monthly cheque for a visit to an escort as part of your benefit.

"Mental illness" is a made-up thing and used to support a multi-billion euro industry. People can get sad or depressed, it's because there's something missing in their lives. The anti-depressants cause people to murder or suicide such as the guy in Bray recently. Do movies or videogames cause people to murder? No. Do drugs? YES, YES, YES!!!! People are being played for FOOLS by these pharmaceutical companies.

People shouldn't get any special favours for emotions they're having. Aside from that is that everyone will be claiming depression or mental illness then.

No, the whole thing is all corrupt, it's all bullcrap. If a person can't work they should get a good amount of money because society makes money necessary for anything.

I don't really find anything amusing about this, I guess I can see how someone might. However this stuff is serious business and you have to take some things in life seriously.

I didn't mean to cause or create offence with my thread. I just find it ironic that the Belgian government actually fund punting to a certain degree.

Your post was good, it is humorous to think a government would fund such a thing

Its nicegirlsarenice stupid and might I add a little mentally challenged opinion that "Mental illness" is a made-up thing and used to support a multi-billion euro industry. Some peoples opinions are so off the wall it's not right!!

I never said anyone shouldn't post something, especially in soap opera. I'm appreciative he did as I never knew this. If you can't handle my opinion and would rather people listen to pill-pushers and counsellor-pushers then that's your concern, but you're batting on the wrong side without having any idea what you're on about.

I know this topic was meant to be light and I appreciate that, but at the same time I do feel people and policy-makers should be serious in what they do with taxpayer money and try to avoid corruption and communism as much as possible.

I mean, is there any point in it? It's sort of like someone giving you a gift-certificate as a present for Dunnes Stores. It's fine, but you'd rather just take the actual money. As for having to say you're depressed to get it... get a diagnosis etc. well that right there spells corruption.
