And what exactly could you be prosecuted for ? I don't think there is any law anywhere in the world that prohibits calling an advertised number . And just cause some guy on the other end of the line tells you he's a garda , you take him for his word , shit yourself and throw your phone away ??? this story gets better, let me get this straight you rang looking for an escort with a phone that is registered in her name! plonker comes straight to my mind, even if you threw the phone away your wife can go and get a new sim card with the same number that she already has, and if its a bill phone she can just go online to her account and check to see what numbers have been dialled!
why dont you use a pre pay sim card to do your punting like probably 90% ov the people on here do, you dont have to register than and if something does go wrong you can throw that sim away!
