I see the bollox is waiting until next week before he steps down.
There has been some talk floating around about the Greens pulling out of government this weekend (remote as the possibility is) which would probably mean a general election which would mean that while he was still officially Ceann Comhairle he would be automaticly re elected to the next Dail without having to go through an election campaign.
Talk about keeping your options open.

By the way Rover dont worry you are definitely not on my hit list.

    Default Wow, a resignation !

The bollox tried to tough it out until he knew the game was up.
The most distressing part of this is that Cowen was going to support him in a vote of no confidence, despite knowing that most people in Ireland want him gone.
This is a fatal flaw with all FF fuckers, party comes before the nation ............ take them all out at dawn I say !

Labour Leader Eamon Gilmore was the one who comes out best he had the courage to call a halt to JOD scamming by saying he would table a motion of No confidence in him the rest hadn't the backbone to speak up see how the likes of Enda Kenny speeded up his condemnation after Gilmores threat, I'd have got rid of the cunt straight away I'd put a cap on what escorts can charge legalize brothels etc. shoulda been a politician myself missed my vocation....

I usually support FG, but I have to admireEamonn Gilmore for stepping up to the plate. Hopefully brendan howlin gets the job as he is 2nd in command. Howlin seems like a decent fellow and i would say he a has a clean record. He actually DOES give a shit about the people and I would say his expenses would be paltry compared to others'.

i agree with what your saying on Howlin. He always seemed different from most politicians and i reckon he is honest enough.

I like Gilmore to be honest. He seems to be a cross between Pat Rabbote and the other Labour leader whose name i forget, the barrister.I think an SF / Labour coalition would be good with the leaders that they have.

Kenny just doesnt have it.99% of the time its his timing is miles off.Simon Covney would make a good leader for FG.They need a better leader.
