as im from manchester, i will say that are rivalry is far more intence with liverpool than it is with manchester city, may be because between both clubs they win so much and when they play each other it means a place in the next round ov a cup or vital 3 points in the chase for the league. but for the micheal owen situation, i think he will do well at man utd, even though hes from the red half ov meryside. like its different with rooney, yes i no hes a scouser but from the blue side ov liverpool were the rivalrie with everton isnt as fierce as it is with liverpool. but he is a proven goal scorer since he was 18, and with man utd they dont need to depend on him as much as newcastle did, they rushed him back to play as quick as they could because they were in a relagation battle, were man utd can hand pick his games without any rush on him.
so owen to score the winner at anfiled, and to be a manchester legend, now owen is from cheshire which is in the middle ov manchester and liverpool, so he nots really a scouser!!
