Thumbs down Can someone PLEASE explain the phenomenon of Biting the inside of ones lip

Enough is Enough I say! I am on day 4 now of biting the inside of my lip when Im chewing. I never had this happen before! It happened once and then I guess it swelled a little bit, and then I just kept getting it in my chew till it got more swollen. I just did it again right now, while eating my chocolate cake. Im getting really annoyed and wonder why this keeps happening. Im just chewing like normal, so why do I keep getting my lip in there? Anyone have a very high knowledge of the phenomenon of accidental lip biting?

    Default Are you talking about........

The inside of your lip, or the inside of your cheek???

Default There are a few reasons for this that I've heard of Dolly.....

Weight loss or gain can be one.........

    Your mood can be another.......

    Drink or drugs............

And weather you're tired of not can be another........

I'm not saying you're affected by any of these, but most are related to your facial muscles.........

If you're tired or drunk etc. this can affect your facial muscles........

But it sounds like you're just not smiling enough............

Im not smiling at all lately. True
I also have had my migraine for 3 days, about the same amount of time Ive been accidentally biting my lip, so yes Ive been in a daze and not very coordinated with this migraine attack. I think I can see your point in all of those suggestions. I do tend to see when I overeat, I have potential to do this. I think cause Im already full and still am eating, so I dont have my heart and mind set in my chewing, so I have kinda a lopsided or awkward chew and very lazy chew. So I may slip off the mark and bite somewhat off the goal.

Sometimes this can be stress related.

    I am stressed darling
The American men are doing NOTHING for my well-being.
I want to be in the arms of the Irish lads
Then my chew will be spot on
And my lips softer then ever!

    Thanks for the link Anon
Its not a sore tho. But keeps being swollen. I think now that my migraine is over and Im more coordinated I will be ok. Going to not eat that cake at the end of my meal anymore too. I think that is my sign to not overeat anymore. Just stop when I am happily content.
