thats a difficult one to answer. The one thing I liked about e-i at the start was that it was welcoming... But im sure new people dont want to feel nervous about stepping on anyones toes and getting booted.
But i suppose something has to be done, and if this system is what would be proposed, 5 posts isnt enough. You could wrack up 5 posts very quickly. I think it would have to be a length of time, maybe 2-3 weeks, where if there were any inciteful threads/posts started by this person, then action could be rightfully taken...

Again, this is a bit of a mine-field...

i have said this in the past that no noob should be allowed post a review till they are joined two wks and i was ignored by u know who

i was left with no option , but to take matters in to my own hands on that score

You cant on the one hand rat every newbie's first review and on the other hand try and encourage genuine punters to submit reviews to assist the punting fraternity. If I were a newbie and my first genuine review was ratted, my attitude would be quite simple......"sod this place, why should I bother my arse trying to inform my peers of who is a good/bad service provider".

The recent case of a member who had all his reviews (and there were many of them) ratted, proves that a fake reviewer can be a long standing member just as easily as a newbie. Except that the long standing member is more likely to get away with it.

in any event you make the point that the one thing you liked about E-I was it was welcoming which is fair enough but read this persons thread about banning and then ask yourself if you were a newbie would you feel like signing up.
